Default [REQ] Automatic Deck/AA Guns options

Hi,

Would be possible to create a mod like title says?

So when a airplane/ship is spoted visual/radar the sailors get on AA/DG, aim and fire to the closest target in range.

Once the target out of range/radar then they get out from the guns.

Thanks

This feature is already present, you only need to select it with the yellow buttons on the UI command bar.

:hmm:

Cheers... It is present but not in "auto".

The simple reason is..the capt is too busy looking at scope (or in the loo) and he trust his competent and professional crew to be up their own tasks.

Thats why they have been trained for... so no need to ask the capt permission to get on with their jobs This way with/without capts intervention, once an air/ship is spoted they automatically run to the AA/DeckGun

Well its a simple matter to crew the guns when you are surfaced...your saying that you want the guns "uncrewed" and then when enemy contacts are spotted they will "auto"
man the guns and fire? :hmm:

Yes this would only work while surfaced.

But atm a player can't leave the crew on the guns days/weeks without end. Their Fatigue would be high therfore their efficiency would be low.

So the crew would be assigned to the guns but not active (I mean not at the guns, inside the sub) to keep their fatigue low.

Only when a plane/ship is spooted (radar) they automatically be activated, jumping into the guns (without waiting for the player to press the buttons).

Basically an automation for "Man the AA GUN" and also "Man the Deck Gun" when a target appears.

Cheers

Crew assigned to the DC slots, and Weapons slots "are not" always on duty.
they will perform maintenence and sleep...they do not have to be moved.
If you select Battle Stations they will be activated and the box where the slots are will be highlighted much like the standing watch, however they will stay on station "activated" even after you secure from battle stations. (the DC that is)
The bottom line is you can keep them in their slots
When you are surfaced its a simple matter to crew the guns and tell them to "fire at will"

After further thought I guess I see your point...but I don't think it can work that way.

Cheers
