YES! By all means. You won't get confused with the MOD Changes. |

Ahoy Mates.
I just finished downloading GWX... I do have one concern before I totally overwrite anything in my SH3 folder. Is GWX suited to the Light-Sub Captain or best just left to the Die-hard, Salty-Dog Submariners? For example I don't know how to manually plot a torpedo trajectory, nor do I intend to EVER do that. I barely passed trigonometry and math and have a downright HATE towards anything that requires math... I'm like that, I'm 43, and I don't plan on changing... When I play a game I like to relax, so you could say I'm a Sub Captain Light. Should I or should I not install and play GWX? Your input will be much appreciated. Cheers! |

gwx just makes the game a bit harder, and adds a lot of interesting features. None of which will make you do any extra math though.
PS; manual targeting does not require any math beyond simple angles. you should give it a try, its quite fun

Thanks for the very fast reply my friend.
![]() Is there an outline, other than the manual that explains just how hard and in which areas it makes the game more challenging? Manual Targeting: I have tried it, and it's not my thing, at all. Angles have to do with numbers, numbers are managed by the left side of my brain, which is technically inactive since I was 4. I prefer painting, drawing, sculpting, designing... It is my personal philosophy that numbers are for machines, not people... At least not me. Not fun for ME. |

@ dbolivar, using GWX does not mean that you are forced to use manual targetting or plotting.
That being the case... what is the aim of your poll? |

Do you have a problem that I've created the poll? Or are polls reserved to a certain group, mind set or affiliation? Do I have to be Polish to post a poll? Please advise. |

I'm happily using GWX without having to worry about numbers.
About the only number-intensive (if you can call it that) workout I get is plotting an intercept course when I get updates on the map, but that requirement is also present in stock SH3 as well. Even then I discovered this neat-o method that utilises some of the mapping tools, and is quite accurate. So intercepting contacts is not a problem. Go for it, GWX makes the game much more interesting. Certainly more difficult (in realism terms, not number crunching) than stock, but I also find it quite enjoyable. ![]() |

Are you reading my question to you as a personal attack? It would seem so. If so, I would say that you are jumping to conclusions prematurely. I asked a reasonable question to determine the underlying need that you felt to post a poll that concerns GWX. If it concerns GWX, it can be reasonable to assume that it may concern me. ![]() |
