What a superb game

Hey all

Got game on release in Uk and have been busy putting it through its paces, patched to 1.1 straight off the bat, and have only experienced one ctd in the 50+ish hours i've been at sea. There are a lot of issues that still need to be resolved and it is very apparent that pressure was put on the devs to release before they were ready, but all the key components are in place to be built upon, for example i know that crew interaction will be implemented in a future release because the building block of point and click is already there.

Anyhow for someone who went throught he release of such games as X3 etc etc etc i gotta say this is pretty neat for a release in the times we live in. Please direct fanboi flames to the nearest empty tube

Default Finally-A Positive Post !!!!!

My SH 4 should arrive by UPS any minute and it's great to see at least one person express what a terrific game this is and it's unlimited potential. I don't mind constructive critical comments, but I think things have gotten out of hand on this forum with all the negativity -Just my humble opinion. I played SH 3 on easy settings(I admit I am just a noob who enjoys the simple aspects of these games I play) and it gave me hundreds of hours of pleasure and fun. I am sure SH 4 will do the same with the talented modders and the commitment of Ubisoft. None of us should forget they developed this game and it would not even exist to improve upon were it not for this company(in a day and age where PC sims are few and far between and XBOX 360s and PS 3s are getting all the press). My 2 cents worth. Good Hunting.

It is a great game! Currently I'm off the waters of Japan in the USS Runner, at 300ft silent running after torpedoing a large convoy. 5 hits for 8 fish with nothing confirmed, hopefully because I didn't see them go down. Anyway, let's see what the escorts are going to do.

I agree, great game. I'm really enjoying it but don't agree about the escorts. I've found them very tough (at times).

That is incorrect. I got sunk at persiscope depth because I expected them to do nothing.:rotfl: They are planning something ...

S-23 and her crew just saw there last patrol today approaching a convoy she got detected, 130 feet of water, constant depth charging for over an hour and one got her, took out her engines and caused heavy flooding, another depth charge finished the job.

So, they do go after you.

Yeah, but it seems to be very hit and miss for many people.

Default I agree It's awesome

Hey,

I think it's pretty good too - Graphically I think it's the best I've seen. Having issues with Mk14's at high speed but I heard the navy did too.

Running widescreen never had any crashes (some slowdowns) and been playing for hours...

Got nothing on tonight so I guess I will be back at it again...

I think the people who are enjoying are too busy playing to post whinges. I'll admit some are legit but I can hear alot of wa wa wa "it's a bug" cause I don't know how to fix it or how it is suppossed to work.

Subsims are to few and far between to not celebrate a new one. This one's excellent and thanks to the devs for the awesome job!

Cheers

James
