'Clinton was the first black president'. How many times have we heard that?

If you didn't believe that you are a racist, don't you know.

I've never understood blacks' affinity for Clinton.

Now that's a joke. I was doing the protecting while you ate apple pie.

Since when is Louis Farrakhan a reliable source?

That guy is nuttier than a squirrel on LSD!

Roughly one third in the congress are millionaires. Millionaires in the senate are forming close to half of it's members, climbing. But only less than 1% of American citizens make a 7 digit income per year.If this is considered to be representative - what do you expect, then? It' never the poor trying to prevent laws enforcing at least guaranteed minimum wages - it's always the rich, right?

I'm not sure what your response has to do with 'the first black president' but increasing minimum wages doesn't help the less advantaged in the long run, and more often than not leads to inflation which those working for minimum wages cannot obsorb.

Yes, the poor ones are the cause of all the rich one's misery. How dare they...

I never said the rich were miserable because of their wealth. I was just pointing to the inflationary outcome of an increase in the minimum wage and how those it was meant to help will be the most hurt by the measure.

Either way its off topic.

And I hinted at that the rich always find a thousand questionable excuses why it is better for all if the poor stay poor. Your theories here and in the other thread, are queer, to say the least.

Is that a problem? Why would he have to do anything specifically for them? Is there some kind of requirement that a president should give special privileges to certain races?

Only if you want to pander for their vote.
