Hi,
Oftentimes when using the 3:15 manual targeting method I don't get whole numbers for a target's speed (e.g. 7.5 kts). Do ships actually travel at these exact speeds in the game (GWX), or should I assume that my measurement is off, and thus I should round the number up or down? Thanks |

I am not 100% sure but I think there is an experimental error in your calculation. As a rule of thumb I would round up whatever is above 0.5 and down whatever is below 0.5. Another think you can do is to try to do the measurement a few more times. That will give you better statistics so you will know more accuratelly the speed of your target.

On average I find the targets are making 7kts. I would round down to the nearest whole number.

In real life and in the game ships do travel at 7.5, 9.5 ect. That half a knot makes a big difference when you are crossing the Atlantic!
Anyway...why round off at all? Just set the targets speed in the computer at 7.5, 9.5, ect. |
