hi folks, ive decided to start a small collection of underwater submarine pics and wondered if you guys could help me. i dont expect there to be many about if any!

how can the water be so green and so clear? im not convinced its not been massively doctored.
Just out of interest can anyone make the number out on the side and tally it up with an existing boat?

This painting shows Otto Kretschmer's U23 in November 1939. Two magnetic mines have just been fired from the bow torpedo tubes hoping to snare unaware Allied ships.

I know this is a painting, but I could not resist. The caption and painting come from this site:

the first 206 picture looks like it was here in Florida's Lake Apopka. You'll melt in 15 minutes in that lake...



And just what is that big buldge on the bow of the 206? Sonar?
