Default Ennemy Detection factors?

Hey guys,
Just a quick question that I'm not 100% sure about, regarding detection factors with stock 1.4

1.Does moon phases affect detection? (full moon, higher chance of being detected)
2.Does sending out radio reports affect detection?
3.Does 'echoing' for depth affect detection?
thks

Default well

that is a yes on #2 assuming your in range of an airbase.
they will send out an aircraft to search for you shortly
after transmission.

on #1 moon phase no but ambient light conditions yes
you can have periscope up at all stop and remain
undetected but if you allow a searchlignt to fall on
the periscope they detect it.

sonar sounding yes.

So I take it the moon phases/detection is modeled in stock 1.4? Impressive!

No....that's not what I meant

It is probably easier to get spotted in lighter conditions...however, I don't think the game takes this into account because your lookouts have the same 'cat like' vision during darkness as they have in daytime.
