GWX radar ranges?
Can someone tell me what the 2 ranges of the GWX-radar FuMO-29 are?
The scales on the monitor are a bit hard to see, imo. I know the coverage on each side is around +/-10degr.

The scales on the radar monitor are in hectometers (hm).
1 hectometer = 100 meters. So to get the distance in meters, you have to multiply the value on the scale by 100. Txema |

That answers my question to some degree, thx.
![]() I was wondering, how the range-switch works, but I guess the scale-values can give me the answer? I thought I read somewhere, that the max-range is around 16km, but I was unsure about that. Forgot where I read it, allthough I did a good search.

I think they are the same as stock (have to check on that)
FUMO29 7500 mts. FUMO30 7500 mts. FUMO64 8000 mts. FUMO64 8000 mts. Ref |

Paatjor,
Ref is correct, the GWX ranges are the same as stock for the FuMO29, FuMO30 and FuMO6x. The FuMO391 was changed from max-range of 10000 to 9500. |

I'm puzzled...
![]() Take a look at the scales of a FuMO-29: ![]() Short Range = 300m - 4500m Long Range = 1000m - 15000m So it's obvious that the "Entfernungsskala"-switch picks either the left or the right scale. And there's a range between 1000 and 4500, that you can see a target on both scales, right? So you guys are telling me, that the whole scale-display makes no sense, and my standard radar-range is 7500m, regardless of what range-selection?
