Hello can anyone tell me please i have sat in port and wanted to navigate the keil canal i press the navigators button to plot the course outbound and the waypoints shoot off to the east into land?? can any one help please. Is it the case that i have to sit facing the canal in the middle? 2. if i make a mistake in the plot how do i delete all the flag waypoints all in one simple click of a button? instead of each individually as the rubber to remove all marks does not do this??? i have to delet each one individually. Many Thanks |

You have to let your No plot the out course before you move the boat. To get the in course right you have to enter the in point going due east, 90. 2. Shift/Delete deletes all markers from the active tool in F5 view.

If you are sat in Kiel then yes its the outbound pattern
Sounds like you are hitting the inbound if the route shoots of left across land - from your boat in Kiel to the inbound marker If you click on the nearest waypoint to you then make another waypoint the rest of any previous route will disappear also |

![]() Quote:
Just bring up the outbound pattern then click return to course and off I go For the inbound you want to be closish to the inbound marker The inbound pattern will bring up the route from the maker to home Hitting return to course will join your boat to the start of that route ![]() |

Still having problem at inbound Kiel waypoint!
I approach the Keil inbound point with a heading of 000 degrees, (due North). I may have a tiny residual velocity.
I still get the inbound waypoints plotted across land and leading off to the northwest. ![]() This is NOT the outbound track, because it doesn't have the little starting hook that is the exit from the docks and the curve around the port to the canal entrance; it definitely is the inbound track, because it starts with several long segments. The only thing wrong with it is that it's 90 degrees counter clockwise, and leads across land and out to the North sea. Can some GWX designer please give some hints about the proper use of the Kiel inbound pattern? I searched the GWX manual and there is absolutely nothing about using the Kiel patterns. The manual is a superb document about U-boat history, but it doesn't say much about the game play. |
