I'm finding the compass to be a less than accurate method for setting course. The only accurate method I can come up with for setting course is to draw a desired course line starting at my uboat's position and use rudders to steer it directly onto that course. Is there any way I can just tell the game "set course XXX"? Thanks

Welcome aboard
![]() Top right of the Nav map there is a set of tools. One looks like a 'triangle'. Use this tool to plot your course and then ask your navigation (bottom left) officer to 'follow plotted course'.

You can also look through the UZO or 'scope in the required direction and press the = key to set a course manually.

I use the triangle tool on the map & after setting all my 'waypoints' with the left mouse button, I click on the right mouse button & the Nav officer replies with 'Following plotted course".. That's the most accurate way I have found..
Good Luck.. |

I find it much easier to set an exact course when using SimFeelings 6-Dials mod. It makes the compass absolutely huge and therefore much easier to select the precise course desired. You should be able to find this mod pretty easily in the "Mods" thread.
Another option is to determine the bearing to the exact course you want, look through your binoculars to that bearing and press the "=" key to set course to view. (edit: Sorry, this was just repeating the sound advice of RawRecruit) Of the two, the SimFeeling mod is the better bet. Good luck!

Also don't forget when you run on the surface and engage TC to keep an eye on the compass (I also use the 6 dials simfeeling) as the heading will drift and you must bring it manually back on course from time to time.
