'Underdog' of supermods

WAC (War Ace Campaign) despite being the 'underdog' of the supermods, already had some features now incorporated in great GWX, like casual clothes and lit ships:

plus large, gorgeous (and accurate) guages:

and lots of traffic...

Anyone looking for a super mod to play in another install otta consider WAC!

True, it looks very impressive. I'm "stuck with" GWX and NorOps myself, but I'd really like to try out WarAce and NYGM. I played RuB a lot before moving on to Grey Wolves, and really liked it.

The compressed U.I., the fact that the mod' had such things as the Normandie landings, and the lit ships alone was enough to make me want to download it. But no, I stuck with GWX.

Hi, you can get the large dials into GWX by installing Mav's Mod which is a couple of places further down the list in this section but read all the threads in the topic [after reading the GWX manual, right ?]

I cannot express how amazed I am at what Hans has done with the Sounds in UBWA 2.0. I wish more people would give it a chance. I hate having to call it an "Underdog", because it deserves more recognition than that.

The historical events that happen in UBWA 1.92 and 2.0 are great also, one reason I choose it over anyother Supermod, now that's REALISM !!!
My hat is off to Hans, for his hard work, and those who contributed to UBWA.

Thank you also Shegeek72 for starting this thread, you are right on

I download and tried WAC, I have since removed it as I did not like the colored contacts as this takes away some of the guess work of trying to move in closer to see if it is friend or foe. Does anyone have a mod to change the contact to be like NYGM? Otherwise, I really enjoyed all the eye candy.

I would not say so because people who play this mod in most do not post on Subsim's SH3 forums. F.e. on German UBISOFT SH3 forum the thread dedicated to the mod has more than 58 000 hits, in Russian "Sukhoy" forum - more than 53 000 hits.

While discussing the mod, I'd say that the feature which makes it distinquished from other mods is a significant number of included historic operations.

Good to know! Thanks for the heads up!

I put WAC in quotes to indicate it only seems to be 3rd here among the supermods in regards to the number of posts. I have an affinity for Germans (being part German myself) and Russians - maybe that's why I like WAC.
