Default Question about time compression

My home port is in Kiel and i decided to go through the Nord-Ostee-Kanal and shorten my distance to my patrol gride by 600nm. The only problem is there are stationary ship along the whole route. Forcing me to travel in real time 12 hours.

Is there a way to use increase time compression even when my look out see other ships??

Thx!

Check out this link: http://www.communitymanuals.com/shii...ssion_Settings

You should be able to turn up your time compression when in proximity to land which may help. Just beware that you may get some unintended consequences if you change any of these values. I changed enemy detected to 1 and so far it's working well for me, but I wasn't having the same issue you are.

Dependant upon your settings, time compression slows near land and other ships. Change those settings, many posts on that. However, plot carefully. You do not want to run aground or lose your white hat because of a collision with a merchant.

Watch out when entering the Kiel Canal (not from ur base, but rather from the atlantic , i.e entering near CuxHaven), although the entrance to the canal seems to be clear on the map, there are some piers that may block ur way. I narrowly missed smashing into one.

Tachyon is right. The Brunsbuttel docks don't show up on the map. If you're not careful it's pretty easy to plot a course right through them, which usually doesn't work out in your favor.

Use SH3CMDR to set your time compression.
