Default Bing by MS

http://www.discoverbing.com/tour/

I have been using Bing as my search engine for a few days now. I like it and it works well. I provided the link for anyone interested in checking out Bing.

It's just that we have gotten used to google, I guess.

Still, "Bing" is the sound you get when you smash your forehead against the low-hanging metal ceiling lamp when you stumble into your home completely wasted on a saturday night. Could be better.

"Hey, you know what time the game starts?"
"Hold on a sec, I'll Bing it."

Yes, Google has become a verb! Bing is supposed to be the lightbulb that goes off above your head when you have an idea. You know, 'bing!'. I would have called it Bingo because when people get something they say, 'Bingo!'. Oh well, it is an ok search engine but Google is so deeply imbedded that Bing will not become popular.

Figured that was the reasoning behind the name, but I think it should be "Ding", "Bing" is definitely boney body part hitting 1/4inch sheet metal. How about "Eureka"? Much better, makes sense.

I'd call it "Brainfart". Now that would catch on fast.

Seriously, good point on Google being so imbedded in society/culture/whatever. My main concern is that they're tacking on more features and frills. It all just overcomplicates the search; there's a reason Google's main page is so barren. Straight forward and to the point is what matters... well, and getting proper results, offcourse.
