Hello fellow submariners!
My name is Igor and i like sub and plane simulations that deal with WW2. As for subsimulators I have played silent service 2, silent hunter I & IV, 688 (modern subs), but I have to save my top honors for SH III GWX gold mod. I found about subsim forum sometime ago when i got interested in SH IV mod Battle for the Baltic. I tried it and I take my hat off to SOM team for developing it. It is really hard - mines are everywhere, but I also like that subs can lay mines - important task for almost all Allied subs in WW2. I wish there would be more mods for SH III especially for the Allied or Italian and Japanese submarines. Good hunting! p.s. -about the dishes - i am in my late 30' so I clean them when fancy takes me - usually when the sink is full. |

Hi,
My name is Zack. I'm 21 this year. I was looking for a full size map and it lead me here. Nice to see such community around. I'm playing SH5 now but started off with 688 hunter/killer 2 years ago. My interest started when I saw this submarine ad by the local navy. It wasn't glorifying but it showed how the captain commanded the crew. And also if you guys have watched the movie the curious of benjamin button, that submarine scene left a deep impression on me. P.S. Hello to all you submariners |

Welcome aboard guys
I never wash the dishes, but I do load the dishwasher - I used to fix them and so know how not to load it correctly, my wife doesn't seem to understand that if you put in something light, and plasticky without something keeping it down then the force of the water will push it about till it flips and fills up! Yes, I am anal about it.

Introducing myself
Hello Simrades,
I had troubles registering here, that's the reason for the strange nick. My real name is Matthew (Matthias) and I come from germany. My first subsim was silent service on the C'64. Another strategic subsim I played on the C'64 was Red storm rising. Absolutely perfect subsim. After I got a PC, my next subsim was Aces of the deep. Since now the best subsim ever, IMHO. After that I played Silent hunter II. Wasn't so impressed. Next was Sub command and the last I remember Silent hunter III. IV I have too, but haven't played it yet. Now I really want to play old but stunning game panzer commander but I have serious troubles with crashes, due to modern hardware and OS. That's all folks. |

Hey Everyone!!!
45 yr old Geezer gamer and I followed the Darpa Actuv sim here. I do have a very (and I am using very VERY liberaly) small amount of DW experience under my belt but I always loved the Silent Hunter series. Now I know it isn't a true sim but hey I like it. I also play quite a few FPS' but was looking into this Darpa chingadera and decided to register for the site. Look forward to being here. Thanks for the space!! |
