Default True color moon photo

My first attempt at astrophotography and photo editing. I used SharpCap Pro for capture, registax for photo stack, and GIMP for editing.

Capture Area=5496x3672
Colour Space=RAW8
Gain=0
Exposure=0.010525
450 out 500 of photos used

Nice work. I guess it's made of Bleu cheese after all.

I tellya ever since I got this scope I never realized just how many cloudy nights there are in a month. On the bright side you're always looking forward to the next clear sky. Setting up never gets old and boring when it finally clears its just as exciting setting up as the last session.

Orion is up and I'm hoping to capture the Horsehead Nebula next time I have clear sky.

The scope is an Orion 203mm f/4.9. Primary camera is a ZWO 183MC Pro, mounted on the scope is a 60mm guide scope. Not shown ZWO 120MC guide camera, cant use it photographing the moon. All of this mounted on a Celestron AVX goto mount. Well within its weight capacity. Oh ya I also have a really kewl gadget called the QHY Polemaster which greatly assists in polar alignment.

Also not shown is my Honda EU2000 generator . I will need that in the field once I start photographing DSOs.

Since I spent my money on a Hatsan 135 rifle Im hoping Santa Claus gets me a Explore Scientific 203mm f/3.9 Carbon fiber scope.
