Jane's Fleet Command and Glide Wrappers
I've tried for a while now to get Jane's Fleet Command (not the SCS/Naval Combat Pack version) to run using several glide wrappers, so far to no avail.
My system specs: Graphics card: ATI Radeon Mobility HD 3470 4 GB RAM Windows Vista SP1 32 Bit AMD X2 Dual Core QL-62, 2 GHz The glide wrappers I have used were OpenGlide, dgVoodoo, nGlide, zeckensack's Glide wrapper and gl2ideal. nGlide was the only one that got FC to run with 3dfx graphics, but the graphics were glitched (i.e. screen flickering, mouse control screwed up etc.), so it was virtually unplayable. The other one's I've tested so far have made FC crash after I selected 3dfx/glide in the video options menu and restarted the game (btw, the same thing happened after I have installed the Naval Warfare Project mod). Since dgVoodoo has been recommended from various sites, I'd like to know: - What settings did you use? Did you experience the same problems, and -how did you fix them / what was the culprit? Since nGlide worked at least partially, I just thought I'd give it another try. |
