Default See-Through Crew

When on the bridge I can see right through the crew members to the horizon. Any idea what's causing this?

GeForce 8800GTX settings maxed, latest drivers
Core 2, 6600 @ 2.40Ghz overclocked (2.68)
2.00 GB of RAM

Thanks in advance

I just located the problem. Turns out it was the Environmental Effects selection in the graphics options. When I unchecked the option the problem went away.

Yes, but you don't have transparent water anymore. I choose transparent water over see-through crew.

Btw, there is no fix because of the way the crew is rendered into the scene (they are made to look like they are part of the scene, but they actually aren't).

I have noticed that with Trigger Maru the effect is alot less noticable.. maybe the graphics pack helps.

These shots were taken with environmental effects disabled and fog enabled. The second shot is at periscope depth. Looks okay to me. My understanding is that environmental effects display cloud shadow and maybe some reflection and color cast from land masses. The 1.3 patch separates fog from enviromental effects so you can still have the fog selected with no ill effects to transparent water or bridge crew appearance. If the choice is cloud shadow or solid crew, I pick solid crew.
