@Jim, that bunch of asterisks and figures appears quite often, usually when some obscure character is used - by obscure, I mean foreign, accents and umlaut type things. Here's a link to site explaing some stuff, or at least describing some stuff. http://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/html/euro.html

For Euro I use Alt+0128 - let's see if that works for moi €

Now that was an anticlimax yesterday. Had my self a pint, we played a couple of rounds of remi, I lost, went home and fell asleep still dressed

Yep, I see that those symbols often replace actual symbols. Even if you do a row of smileys one might be replaced by those numbers. Lets see if we can make one
