Have fond memories of going down the pit at one of London Transports depots back when I was a kid and my Dad showing me all the relevant engine parts of the bus overhead.

I've always followed the dictum: When you don't have anything to say, SHUT THE HELL UP! I Haven't been to this site for a couple of years. I am impressed.

Lovely picture

Wish mine was, I turned up to a shut-down network and my two colleagues scratching their heads. We (I say we, it was definitely a team effort) finally identified the culprit as a piece of BT equipment after a lot of patch cable chasing and testing!

I brought my sarnies in but am only just eating them now, 30 mins before home time.

DanG - you should find your voice and say more, looking around you could babble on about anything (almost) and get away with it.

Penguin made my day

I don't know is it a pit or inspection bay, it's a big hole in the garage covered by wood.

Either, doesn't matter. We got the gist. Better than the alternative of rolling the car/tank.

I seriously considered that option. Putting some foam on the ground and gently roll the car on its side. But then some spoil sport informed me that the oil might leak into the combustion chambers

Went to the workshop today to do a bit of fiddling.

Found some model plates just lying around

Cut them to size and glued them together and made a raw model

And then trough some bribery I got my hands on some CAM programs and a CNC operator and work began

And voila, trough the power of CNC and CAM technology and one liter of honey schnaps a model was born

Still needs a lot of work. She's going to be used for a construction of a mold, to make more of them. The kind that will float
