Epic battle scene from a decent flick.

Even better.. Watch for free with English subs.

It is unusual for storms in October, what was even more unusual was last December having an electrical storm while it was snowing - that (almost) never happens in the UK, at least that's was the fist time I'd ever seen it. If it's global warming - bring it on

Nah, it's not unusal here. Rare, but not unusual. Had one last week. Saddly it was during daytime, had no chance of taking pictures

*MANY MANY WORDS I CAN'T SAY IN SUBSIM FORUMS*

I just broke a tooth. Or else some old filling decided to break up and fall out.

Ate my lunch with no problem, came back from lunch, decided to stick a piece of cinnamon gum in my maw to freshen things up a bit after said lunch, next thing I know there's a *crunch* and I spit the gum out and it's got little crunchy toothy bits in it and I can feel with my tongue the distinctly jagged edges on the back edge of one of my back teeth where something used to be but ain't there no more.

It doesn't hurt, yet. Maybe it was just an old filling. Still - I HAVE TO GO TO THE DENTIST AGAIN and I was just there a month ago.

After some thought I am more and more sure that it's an old filling that came out. We even talked about it at my last checkup, my dentist saying that some docs would remove some of my older fillings and put crowns in just on principle but since the xrays still looked good and they weren't giving me problems she was okay with leaving them in there until they did.

I think she jinxed me.

I ate some popcorn a few nights ago and I'm betting I bit down too hard on a kernel and cracked the filling, and it was the sticky chewing gum today that finally pulled it out.

At any rate - got an appt for Monday evening and we'll see.

Yeah, there was a storm in Suffolk too apparently but I was in London at the time where there were just showers.

Soopaman, that was indeed an epic battle scene...will have to check that out.

Watched Full Metal Jacket all the way through for the first time, very good film indeed But did you know that it was mostly filmed in the UK with the Attack on Hue filmed at Beckton gas works in London:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_Metal_Jacket#Filming

I did wonder why there was a greater preponderance of Sikorskys than I was used to seeing in a Vietnam flick, and after I was told I figured (correctly) that they must be Wessies and that it was still accurate for the time for I guess that the Tet Offensive was about '68 and that the Hueys must not have full dominance of the helo duties.

Anyway, gaping at the military gear on offer aside it was a great film and I have to thank my Dad for putting it on for me to watch all the way through, and likewise for putting on Leon, another great film. His all time favourite with The Crow, The Green Mile and The Shawshack Redemption.

I must be the only person in the world who absolutely hates Full Metal Jacket.

Possibly, I mean I wouldn't put it up there at my all time favourite movie, but I didn't hate it. What makes you hate it?
