[REL] Shells.zon Tweak File
So, I did a search for shells tweak file and could not find it.
I know its talked about somewhere hence I got the kick to do a tweak file for deck guns ammo some days ago, can't for the life of me remember what that thread was about... Anyhoo, I wanted to play around with deck guns ammo and I got something working, thought I release it, here's a snip from teh readme: Code:
Shells.zon.txt for use with Time Traveller's MiniTweaker program.
The following parameters can be changed with this file:
- 3,50 Caliber , 4,50 Caliber and 5,25 Caliber
(atleast US subs deck guns has these calibers)
- Armor Piercing (AP) and High Explosive (HE);
- minimum and maximum effect
- minimum and maximum blast radius
Im not 100% if any other vessel uses these calibers but I have not seen it happening ingame. Also, in the spirit of: **I dedicate this mod to all the rivet counters** ![]() ![]() - Jimbob - |

Great stuff!
By the way, I've been hoping to adjust the AA shell effectiveness. Does this file have any AA shell values? If not, any idea where they are?

I don't know if this will be of any value to anyone else, but I've expanded JimBob's tweak file to include every variable in the file. Most of the data is unknown but perhaps other folks can fill it in as data becomes known. I have found a couple of things:
20mm AA shell minimum and maximum effect 40mm AA shell minimum and maximum effect A strange anomaly: the data for the 5,25 deck gun AP minimum and maximum radius seems to be in the wrong place. I don't know if it's wrong or if it's right, but it looks weird because it's separated from the other AP data for that deck gun. Anyway, here's the file: http://www.beerymod.com/SH4/Shells.zon.7z
