Imagine a posh, BBC accent:

"The Admiralty confirmed this morning that the loud explosions heard in the Dover area of the south coast were the result of a U-Boat attack upon the port. One ship was sunk. The HMS Jamaica, which had docked three days previously to resupply, was struck by three torpedos at roughly 6 o clock yesterday evening. 17 crewmen working in the bow of the ship were killed, with other minor injuries. Due to the shallow depth in the port, she is only partially submerged. Salvage efforts began this morning. The U-boat could not be tracked, although it is suspected to be the same that sunk a destroyer off Folkestone the day before last. That was this morning's news"

A bad day for "Jamiaca", definitely. I wonder if that U-Boat is going to sneak back in and giver her a fish to the magazine? That should put her out of business for good.

One thing I love about this thread is the stories that go along with some of the pictures - very entertaining.
