I am not sure if this small bug was generated by RSRD :hmm:

I am not sure this is an RSRDC problem, but I think I would have noticed it before if occurring.
Since RSRDC install, very often save game changes things on reload. Most often affected is day/night condition. Most recently saved with game time of 0530 and bright sunlight. When loaded again the same scenario changed to dark night with a quarter moon; game time stayed at 0530. Had another one where two surface contacts disappeared as well as a change of light condition. I'm running TMO152, RSRDC V371 and SCAF for both. Install order was as specified in the sticky. Never saw the problem with just TMO. After I had the problem last night, I did a clean install of all. Inserted one saved game thereafter so I wouldn't loose the career. That save game was with the sub in port. Problem duplicated tonight. Any ideas?

Egon,
Couple of things that folks have suggested to aleviate the problem are: 1. Always keep your last arriving in homeport save, because if the next patrol becomes fubar, you will always have that save to go back to. The save bug only appears to affect the patrol you are on when the problem occurs. And it clears for the next patrol.:hmm: 2. Some have had success by only saving from the 2D map screen and not saving when within 25nm of land or when you have visual contact with other ships. I haven't tried this; in fact last night I saved a whole approach on a KUMA and it saved fine. 3. What I have seen is that you have to let the program run until it's happy to stop. What I mean is if something big is happening, like you're taking damage/sinking, and you just want to abort and re-load, don't do it. Let it run out and then re-load. It seems to stay stable that way.

Another tip I forgot is not to save if you are in time compression.

I found out how this bug happened. I was in 2000 time compression and I changed to external view, my fps droped from 45 to 10. I had to restart the game and before that I saved, after restarted the game was buged allready

Having trouble completing the "patrol Japan - Luzon Straights - Singapore shipping route". No new icon showed up to let me know where to go & the log shows "incomplete" regardless of how long I stay at the last completed areas icon, which is aprox. 250 miles s.w. of Okinawa....smack in the middle of the said shipping routes I'm supposed to be patrolling ironically. I know about the 150 miles of the icon thing, I draw a mark with the compass to be sure I'm in it - any idea what's going on here?
My mods are NSM4 lite, ROW PE, ROW high res seafoam, RFB, RSRD all current versions & patches on SH4 V1.5 |
