Hi,
I don't know exactly if it's a bug but after torpedo hits the ship won't start burning\smoking. I noticed that on my 4th patrol where I sunk 7 ships and 1 Southampton cruiser. On my 2nd and 3rd patrol there was always smoke after a hit. I tested it after the 4th patrol in the tutorial. No smoke with torpedos but with the deck canon there is smoke, a lot. I play the GWX 3 Gold mod with no other mods except the effects from SH4. |

Yes.
Where you hit determines what effect you see. If there is no zone that uses smoke or fire? The ship must take enuff damage to set off other zones. It's a high wire act to build a damage model for every ship in GWX Some Ships are imported from others not in the GW Team. Great ships that's why they are there. They just may not have a full GW Damage model. I've only seen 3 people really work that damage model. ![]() |

This will not be something realy new, with new features etc. This is just fixed version of one of the older asanovic7's version (with black smoke - most natural in my opinion). Main target is to remove all remaining bugs (like no sound of burning oil, or bad looking sinking bubbles, increase environment light influence on most particles, so they look more natural at night). Nearly all work is now done. Yet, It's hard to tell when it'll be ready to release. ![]() |
