Another matter - I installed SH3 after patrol 3. So patrol 4 log showed ship names, cargo, crew lost, etc. Very cool. But then after patrol 5 it reverted back to old format, ie no juicy details! My Q - Do I need to do something to update patrol log or is it suppose to do it by itself? Thanks. R |

In SH3 Commander click on Available actions in bottom right > Review patrol logs > click on patrol in left hand column > Update tab

Updating your personnel file is what triggers Commander to flesh out the logs with extra data from the Ship Names file; if you don't do the former, the latter doesn't happen. So always get your personnel file updated first thing after ending a patrol.

I am using the "Randomise ship tonnage" option of the SH3 Commander but I noticed that not all ships are affected by that.
I.e. the Large merchant is affected but the Coastal freighter or the ships of the MFM aren't. Is there any way to fix this? |

Hello,
I'm having problems with running SH3 Commander with multiple installs. I have three copies of SH3, a vanilla one in the default location and two others, in C:\U_sim\, one for GWX and one for NYGM. Using MultiSH3 tool, I renamed their \Documents folders, to "GWX" and "NTW" (for NYGM Tonnage War), the SH3 folder doesn't exist since I never ran the unmodified spare install. I inserted the /1: switch in the Commander's shortcut target but I still get an error message "Cannot find the \Documents\SH3..." file. Is there a way to make Commander find the cfg files in my GWX or NTW folders, or should I rename the one I'm planning to use to the default name (and change names when I want to play the other supermod)? Sorry for reposting the question I already asked elsewhere... |
