Default You know since we came out with this mod Nvidia Card sales have gone up right?

So why don't we ask them to send money to keep the Sub Sim comunity Forum's going for us?!

Seems to me with the profit's they are getting from the work here the least they can do is send some this way.

Not for us as individuals but just to keep all the Sub Sim forums going.

What do you guys think?

Just wondering if it would be possible in this game to include a random occurance where you leave a dim green phosphorescent wake at night on rare occasions.

I saw this happen twice on patrol over several years. It's really something intriguing to see when it happens.

It would also make the sub slightly easier to spot at night. This is not a common event but does happen. It's due to sailing through algae that are disturbed by the boat passing through them and they undergo a reaction that causes the glow.

Just a thought.

Default I am in awe

of all the people who worked on this, my game looks absolutely gorgeous now. Feels like I'm actually in the pacific. I'm looking forward to seeing some combat with the mod.

A big thank you from me to all the people involved.

Hiya's,
Thanks for reply Leo t'is much appreciated (2 p's in that word ? i can never rem)

Sorted it now (didn't seem to have problems with other files still installed but all in order now )

Cowboys98 here's a pic of what order etc but i can't seem to get hi-res foam to run smoothly so i'm not running it, So after the ROW special effects (i chose the classic not the light version and as leo said only install one or t'other) that's where i would have the foam mod, Other mods i have added as you can see and have no probs so far !

Hope that helps somewhat

Happy Hunting

Ciao

Vonsteel,
In the ROW you should have stuff not now needed ....

Extract to say Desktop and go into the main folder where the row goodies are

Copy and move all in the folder EXCEPT ( images/readme/arcade n realistic cam mods/also the scene install lightening smoke and hollywood effect with sfx ) to your jsgme mod folder (hopefully you installed it and this makes a MOD folder in sh4 main directory) this pic shows order of what ROW sequence to install down to special effects with nsm (i installed classic version)

So you should have from top ............

ROW Textures
ROW highend - sub reflecs
ROW highend - ship reflecs
ROW highend - misc
here put the new vs4 arcade camera mod
here put ROW special effects with nsm arcade or classic version not both
From now on any mod you like tha doesnt interfere

Or copy all ROW folders into jsgme and then delete as above what's not needed then add ones left in sequence above

Hope this helps

Happy Hunting

Ciao

Def

PS: After the ROWhigh-end misc or new vs4 camera and your pc runs it you could try the hi-res foam ?

Best thing to do is buy Neals Subsim Book! Shamless plug for Neal. Upper right hand corner of your screen is the MAKE a DONATION button as well.

Can someone please confirm for me that we don't need the Scene Install folder, if we use the Special Effects folder?

In Leo's earlier posts he has both, and the only thing I saw that the Special Effects folder overwrites in the Scene folder is the lightning dds's. What about the fire, smoke, and oil from the Scene install folder?.

Thanks.

I'm slightly confused about this...

There is only 1 version of the NSM mod, correct? At least that's what I see in the mods list on the main page. This version here.....

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=118005

So I need the NSM mod installed, then either the Special effects light or classic on top of it, yes? But aren't you saying there should also be light and classic versions of the nsm mod first?

EDIT: Here's the problem.... the link in the mods list does not go the the thread with both versions of NSM. Here is the thread with both versions. We need a fix on the list.

Okay, one more thing..look at this..

I enabled the NSM classic first, then the Special effects w/ classic. It's okay that it overwrites the two NSM files, yes?

ALso, you'll see the lightning dds's get overwritten in the textures file. That's okay also, yes?
