I am getting confused with a few comments about this mod and LBO.

Does this replace LBO because it incorporates that mod and much more, or...

Is this mod designed so that it can be used with LBO ?

Thanks

I created the LBO mod and would never do a mod using the Scene.dat file without it being present in the work so you have no worries there at all.

Just a couple of questions. First, for the new camera mod and fire/oil slick textures. Do we disable the original ones and remove them from the MODS folder and replace with the new ones?

Secondly, could the highres seafoam be enabled on top of the existing foam, and dose it impact FR?

To be honest, aside from the glitch with the shipsmoke, I'm perfectly happy with the mod as is, and whats more my pc runs it pretty darned good. I may just use the camera fix. Thanks guys.

To match the one's in the mod in content so it would be a lot easier for people to replace them.

But again I will be making a new big one to download but will have an option for the cloud speeds folder's once that work is done and an option for the sea foam textures. So that will be the only extra seperation so there will be a few more choices for people.

I am holding off on the big download until the cloud speed adjustments are done because I am not ready to just keep uploading big folders over and over again right now as it takes over an hour to do that that interupt's my testing stuff and work on new things.

So if you want the new rework faster your best bet is to take the new download's for now.

P.S. I made a big goof in the new texture file and had to pull it from the thread and download sorry about that everyone have to wait on it!

But to answer the question about the sea foam Hi Res VS yes it can impact FPS rate a lot on lower end PC's.

Several people asked for more Hi res stuff for the higher end PC's that is why it was made.

So for now please you the texture files you have already and I will post the new ones again lator on after a problem is repaired with them that I wasn't aware of.

I set up the new folders just like the old one's so yes you can disable the old one's and just use the new one's I have posted.

But like now we will have a choice in the mods folder what we want, like in the curent version, right, like we can have the high res foam only if we want to activate the seperate folder right? like now with the high end ship reflections, subs reflections.. and so on. i mean when you upload the new Big downlaod.

I would not take that away because I know some people push their PC's to the limit and see what they can and can not run. So there will always be choices.

i like the environment. looks awesome but there are few things that spoil it all.

1. the water texture racing away from view after using time compression
2. same with sky
3. heavy stuttering water. I know its not the graphics, everything else is smoth its just the water. Again only after using time compression.

all negative effects are trigered after using time compression and they happen to me every time. When i use time compression i have one of these.

The more you push the rendering Engine like we are doing the more it seems to happen. But serious track down on finding away around it or getting it to stop happening is being worked on.

I guess it is a good thing we got the environment to look so good so people don't go into time compression so much until we get this fixed or worked out. :rotfl:

I know it has been a killer since I made the LBO mod. But at least now more people are helping me look into a fix instead of doing it on my own.

Thanks WernerSobe for the input!

The stuttering water is directly related to the relative motion of the current camera view and the water, if you use the free cam and leave it stationary over the water there is no stuttering/jelly effect as soon as you move watch the water. If on the bridge the slower your boat is going the less noticeable it becomes, going flank aggravates the problem. The water is being generated correctly its only when you have motion in any direction form the camera you see the shakes, as soon as you take your hand off the mouse it's all good.

Have you noticed this Leo?
