I have not known leo but I followed almost all his posts.
The sadness is as if he was always a friend.
Strange as I feel really impressed. When I read did not believe were true ...
Rest in peace

Hey Dave...

I´ve learned to know you through your posts. You were a very intelligent man. I´m enjoying your ROW several hours a day. Truly a mastermod ...

Sometimes life isn´t fair, but R.I.P and thank you for making SH4 such an experience.

This is very sad news.

I always found Dave a friendly, thoughful and helpful person. I remember the first time I posted on these forums with a problem, Dave was full of suggestions and went out of his way to help out. I was touched that he would go to such trouble for a new guy.

He was a true gentleman of Subsim and I shall miss him dearly.

My thoughts will be with you and your family Dave.

Rest in peace my friend you are a class act.

I ask all Captains to pause for a moment during every Sunrise and Sunset in ROW as they remind us of Dave and his kindness. He created ROW as a gift for us to enjoy and we should remember him always.

Dave as we chatted on a month ago, your Boat USS Seadragon was retired in your honor from the Kill Flags fleet:

SARGO CLASS

SS194 USS Seadragon (retired for Leovampire)

Blue skies, calm seas.
-sqk

Thanks for all your mentoring emails, posts, pm's and kindness in helping with the Kill Flags Mod and for your post of great wisdom ( the second one, and moments after ) the mod released:

Default damn - every time

damn - every time I see Dave's picture when I dial up subsim I see my cousin's face when he was younger. He was and is an aritist, his brother is a graphics artist, their dad was an art director for a TV station. They must have had some shared ancestor with Dave in the past. It is just uncanny.

Default To Dave, family and friends

Rust in vrede (RIP) Dave

met oprechte deelneming.

Dank voor de PM toen ik de mod niet aan het werk kreeg.

Aniuk, The Netherlands.

Thanks for the pictures and the video. It really would be nice if someone can make a mod to incorporate it in the game, or give instructions how to do this. To all subsimmers out there: take care!

It is impressive how there are people who were dealt with unfairly by life and may suffer through serious medical issues, yet you wouldn't notice it on them because they are busy with helping and furthering the joy of others.
There are only few people you meet on this elusive medium the internet is and can safely say they are an example for the best in men. I believe we can say that about Dave.

RIP Leovampire. Removing the "Get well Dave" line from my signature, which I only entered there a few days ago, felt like ****.
