No problem.

Just so everyone knows. Decks awash works in GWX too. I wouldn't like to say that the detection ranges are going to be indentical but the same is true.

I have been as close as 700yds @ decks awash in 12m/s winds, just after dusk without being detected. It can be done and works very well in any version of the game that allows you to go decks awash.

Do you have the K-Lite codec pack installed? If you do, here's the solution:

1) Start
2) All Programs
3) K-Lite Codec Pack
4) Configuration
5) Codec Tweak Tool
6) Disable the ffdshow filter
Got my new gaming computer 5 days ago and been tweaking with my GeForce 9600 settings since then to make GWX 2.0 run, this solution finally worked

If you mean SH3Commander, it usually goes into C/Progams

Thanks guys.

We've got enough links now I think.

(Will add Penelope_Grey's later too.)

Thank you for this masterpiece, this mod is simply outstanding!

I have two questions regarding engine upgrades and deck guns

The GWX manual says that engine upgrades will be free for zero points and they have no effect on the boat speed in GWX. However they are at costs of 500 for the small upgrade and 1500 for MAN in my upgrade table and I will be charged those points from my account when I install one. Is it a bug?

About deck guns. I tried to blow a Vosper Torpedo Boat out of the water with my 88. It took more than 20! direct hits to sink it. They had a wooden hull and I doubt any of those Vosper MTB's would have survived even two hits. Maybe those boats should be tweaked a bit.

I have no idea how many shells it took to sink an small freighter in real life, but again I needed many many shots to inflict damage here .. I understand that it's very hard to balance a game, but the deck gun could have a little more punch for my taste.

Is there any noticeable difference in damage output between a 88 and 105 deck gun in GMX and is it possible to adjust the gun and/or ammo settings (easily) by myself?

thanks!

Hi Gummiente and welcome aboard

There are no engine upgrades in 2.1
Or shouldnt be
Will have to look at the manual

As to the Vosper yes tis a game balance
Make the shells more powerfull and you run the risk of sinking larger ships far to easily
Make the Vosper weaker and they get destroyed by the sea

Smaller ships are a nightmare to balance correctly

Thanks for quick reply.

My fault. I had GWX 2.0 but read in 2.1 manual about the engine upgrades .. now I have 2.1 installed and everything is working as supposed.

Thanks again!
