Time to drop the old and start the new.

I think KL is a EMT and he keeps using the electric paddles jump starting the heart of SH3. Then he slams in some adrenalin with GWX to really get it going. SH3 gets a new life once again. In all reality, I owe the team a 'atta boy' because it was GWX 1.3 ( I think) that got me back into the game and made me a active member of Subsim. I'm just one of thousands that GWX did this too. So, yeah, something to be proud of. I do not know if any of the team or crew have SH4 ( I know Penelope does) it is a wonderful graphics engine and is being supported with the likes of a add-on containing the uboats. Something to mull over in the future. Bad part is, it cost me a few duckets to run the game...new graphics card and more RAM . Ouch. Everyone has their poison! I often wonder how the team after month of toying with SH3, finally finishing GWX 2.0 and still wanting to play the game! Heck, I would be ready to through the disc out the window, shutdown the computer and put it out for a yard sale. It must be dedication in it's purest form! Nice job Lady and Gents! Best of luck in the new year!

Ahhh got up at 13:00 today....feel pretty good actually. Drank champagne and wine, eat very well and had a great time.

AVG thanks for all your support, nice to see bridges built in the subsim community. I got SH4 as well, just can't run it but as this will be a good year for me will upgrade to enjoy a change of theatre and the lovely new graphic engine (and crew shifts yeeeesssss) ... and I'll be able to run GWX 2.0 as it should be...it actually runs well now but takes 20 minutes to launch LOL.

Happy 2008 to all my fellow Wolves and all GWX players, enjoy the challenge!!!

Nice one AV

Let us hope we can 'assimulate' the attitude and understanding over with us......It certainly won't be for want of trying

All the best for the New Year

Default Happy New Year To All! (Plus Small Sound Problem)

I just worked my way through the last 15 pages or so of posts since my last visit!

Whew!

Put my lot in with those who appreciate the GWX team and their work product. Like most others, I buy or download games for the reality perceived by the creators of those games and mods. If I find them not to my liking, I get rid of them and try something else. No game/sim or mod is perfect, but none in my experience is more enjoyable than GWX 2.0 - I look forward to many years of pleasure, thanks to this team's hard work.

Here's a new question (I think): Has anyone encountered a situation where some of the sounds just stop coming through? I get engines, bullets passing overhead, a very weak deck gun firing sound, aircraft, harbor whistles, but no speech, explosions, or pinging of sonars from enemy warships. Very strange. I cannot relate it to any new or old mods I've applied. I'm using only the stock mods and the latest SH3 Commander. My system is a Falcon NW Mach V, 1.03 GHz Intel, 2 GB ram, Creative Audiology SB for Gamers, ATI 800x, and had been running the game without incident until this sound problem cropped up.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this one?

Thanks, and a Very Happy New Year to all!

Yes, it happened to me once or twice... the only way i found was uninstalling sh3 and reinstalling all over again, all by the book... first install sh3, reboot, then aply the patch 1.4b, then install gwx 2.0 and reboot, then all should be working fine...

Question... i know this is not a right place for this question, but im pretty sure there is no threat about this one... i always wanted to find an iceberg during my patrols, but 3 years past already and not even ONE i found... where (grid) can i find those? and a second question... if the crew spot an iceberg, they will warn me about it? or if im at 256TC i will ran over the iceberg and destroy my uboat coz my crew is blind and dumb? :rotfl:

i found the issue...

if u get in the radio room and click on a thread without loging in first, you'll see signatures, but then if you try to reply at something, you'll have to login, and after doing that and posting the reply, all signatures disappear... funny!

Funny and a problem at your end. IE7 & FF both give me them sigs just fine.

E: And I cannot see how this has something to do with GWX. Same goes for the icebergs. Just keep searching.
