Hi, I have a couple of questions about GWX 2.0.
1. Did you change the "lite harbor traffic"-mod somehow? I have that mod activated but it seems like there are more ships than before (in GWX 1.3). 2. There was the battleship Tirpitz docked in Wilhelmshaven in september 1939. Is that normal? Historically, that ship was commissioned much later. 3. There was an option called "Unlimited" in Engine upgrades. It had no description and when I clicked it nothing happened. What is that all about? 4. Hydrophone contact lines are now dashed lines instead of solid lines. What is the purpose of this? I don't know what you guys have tweaked, but generally this new version feels a bit more challenging than GWX 1.3. It's also a little slower than before, but I suppose it is due to all the added stuff. I have only played two missions and I'm sure there are still many new things to discover. I'm waiting eagerly for the "tail mod" that someone already mentioned, even though playing without the tails is not as bad as i expected. You have done great work with this. Thanks to everybody in the GWX team! |

Salut!
I'm not sure being in the right thread but I have just a little question about GWX 2.0... While I'm at it, congratulations for such awesome mod, I'm a fan... Well, my question-problem is: - I have a lot of white little sparklings on the skyline and sometimes big black ones in the sky. I have a Pentium IV with a GeForce 8800 GT with 2 Mb RAM, I'm running 1280x1024 75 Hertz... so I don't understand. Thanks in advance

There have been a few reports about the Nvidia 8*** series of late...I wonder if it's a latest driver issue :hmm:
Try installing older drivers and keep searching these forums....I'm sure someone will have an answer before long. ![]() One thing I am confident of....it's not due to GWX 2.0 being faulty ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Quick question/comment.
I've just DL'd the patch and reinstalled SHIII. Looking forward to firing it up tonight. Till then . . . One of the things that caused me to lose interest in SHIII awhile ago was the fact that I could surface in English harbors and wreak havoc in broad daylight. Once the ships with teeth were done away with I could just sit there for days at a time. Seems someone should've gotten on the horn to the RAF and the Navy, but they didn't. Nobody even took potshots from the pier with their Enfields! I also recall sailing by in full view of shore batteries. I hope this sort of thing will be as impossible in GWX as it would have been in real life. Will it? If not, I'll just apply my own rules. Meaning, if I don't think I could've realistically done it in real life, I won't do it in the sim. No, I don't play at 100% realism, since I can't stand math . . . but I don't want to exploit unrealistic game foibles either. |

I've not seen this before in GWX 1.03, or mentioned on the forum.
About 50% of the time when depth charges are dropped, it's not being displayed properly in the time/officer/event window; for example it will be displayed - 14:36 CE: just blank where there is normally the depth charge confirmation. It happens when I'm running on real time, as well as compressed.

Well maybe I had a little bit ![]() Even so, if it was that, I didn't see it in 1.03...just curious. It didn't affect the outcome - we got the pounding we had coming!
