I am sure, the sheer mass of the ship would require a great deal of effort to completely destroy it. Essentially, what I am saying is it would probably take a lot of torpedoes to destroy the ship.

Hmm, sinking it with some good placed torps would get me enough renown for the best sub.

Well, I guess its a good thing that we don't include such modern novelties in GWX.
We've saved you all the trouble of having to deal with an embarrassing renown overage. |

GWX team,
Will the upcoming GWX have new U-Boat skins? Reason I'm asking is that I can't find a site with Fubars high res skins. I registered for U-Boat Real Simulation Download central and when I activated my account a message from Terrapin popped up saying the site is being closed down. I tried to download several of Fubar's skins from the site but the download speed with DSL is now in the single digits due to the site's close down. Any idea where I could find Fubar's high res skins? |

A few are still available at his FF account... But not all, unfortunately.

Hello all, not sure if you have detected already but I started downloading the GWE 1.03 manual from http://mysite.orange.co.uk/manual/GW...NUAL_EN_PF.pdf
link on the very first page of the GWE thread. During the download a worm was detected. |

This is the first report of this kind and it's been downloaded/viewed enough times to raise the possibility of it being infected. Still, will check it out.

![]() Can you paste the Worm report or give the name of the worm? I'm sure the manual is safe.

I've also checked it with IMO top quality professional anti virus programmes (nod....kaspersky) and found nothing. Is it not possible the worm is already lying dormant on your machine and has been activated by the 'incoming' ? :hmm:

Um.......Jesus Christ, you sure about it being on my system, it has only ever come up during the download of that pdf file and avast automatically disconnects.

Uruguay 6/7/8 is a polymorphic virus, detected by, not surprisingly, algorithmic methods (as opposed to signature scanning).
Algorithmic methods = higher chance of false positives. And whilst Avast! is not a bad programme, it is free, and certainly has its fair share of false positives. Personally (and I run quite a secure system), I wouldn't stress about it, particularly as a quick google shows that Avast!, Uruguay 6/7/8 and false positive seems to be a common combination of words, LOL! Also, being an "old fashioned" virus (it's about 15 years old), you're not gonna get it from a PDF file. And if you had it beforehand, a virus scan of your memory should (have) pick(ed) it up, as it's memory resident and exe/com infecting (ah, the good old days of traditional viruses).
