Icefield automatically generated. Very low impact on the FPS. If each iceberg was a sea unit, my game would crash...

Normal: polygon density...script...etc.. would be significantly higher...

Polygons would be the same. But each iceberg would be a unit and this would require the game to compute many more things...
Also, it would be a real pain to place all these icebergs manually in the Mission Editor... !!!

Polygons would be the same.
no I think the ship represents a more detailed structure and the animations (script) therefore more calculation...

You don't get the point. I'm comparing individual icebergs to this automatic icefield which is actually one single unit.

I understood very well... the unit does not appear... the engine does not allow it...
I like your idea of an ice field to cross for a special mission... why not conduct operations in hostile areas..

As these icebergs are not sea or land units, they don't have any collision sphere, so they are harmless for you. But we could add a few real icebergs (sea unit) inside the field, so you will never know in advance if the iceberg in front of your bow is a true or a fake iceberg... forcing you to avoid all of them.

As I told you, great idea...now see with Fifi if we can do this kind of thing...so that you complete your skills in the field..I don't have all this knowledge of engines like you Mister M...
But I would be delighted to have special missions like the far north of Greenland with ice fields to cross

Well,? Why would i take a chance of running the nose of my boat into an iceberg,Underwater we avoid them head on to start with. Most players will use external view to hug a iceberg. If you want to introduce a damage sphere around the berg. With and With out external view That might change the game.
