The coords he give put it in the constellation Auriga not Orion. It appears to be one of the double stars near the open cluster NGC 2281.

Found the location on my own star maps BTW which predate Google Sky by many years, so no censoring by Big Brother...

Another crazy story is about this guy named Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. Millions of people are awaiting for his return.

Also men are killing themselves and are rewarded 72 virgins in the name of Allah.

Sombody seen a ufo they must be crazy!

This whole planet needs a giant tin foil hat.

A Tin foil hat might make all the difference from a open casket or a closed casket funeral. I get saved every sunday just for insurance. Amen hallaluha now pass the damn peas.

This is a post I made in another thread on the topic of NASA funding:
Quote:
BTW when you go though you pocket change tonight, look at that penny there. Think about 1/2 of that. For every tax dollar you give to Washington that 1/2 of a cent goes to NASA. That 1/2 of a cent gives us the Shuttle, the ISS, The Hubble, Space Camp, Astronaut visits to schools, environmental research, Mars rovers, Probes the gas giants and Pluto, plus dozens of other programs. Would you miss another 1/2 of a penny at the end of the day?

You wont be able to see Orion anyways, its a winter constellation.

Yea it starts to rise just before sun up. But Orion is best viewed in the winter.

But I work afternoon or evenings so waking up that early to look is not an option. Besides I don't own a IR telescope like that guy on You Tube- just a pair of binocs.

yeah, all I got here in florida is a pair of binocs, got a cheap o telescope in New York at my moms, going up late October too visit got a lot of country sky too look at maybe find something interesting, but it will be fruitless to think I' ll find what I' m looking for without infared. For all I know it was a failed missile. Well it' s not aways all about the kill, it's the thrill of the hunt. As Elmer would say I' m looking for a little brown star. they had something interesting in world wide telescope ,I don't think they have free real time telescope viewing on line. Heres another project , security camera rigged to the computer as a telescope.

You could try a webcam, they have IR models. But it would not be on a servo like a CCTV camera.

Everyone knows "Area 51" exists, why they'd have to make an statement to say the obvious? Also, AFAIK, it's existence haven't been denied either.

All that aside, I'd imagine everything "top secret" has been moved from 51 ages ago.

AFAIK Area 51's existence was/is denied (Or at least not publicly acknowledged). It's an open secret, much like the stealth fighter before it was officially unveiled, nothing too unusual.

There might still be "top secret" stuff there, like there has been during the Cold War, who knows.
