How, exactly, does one insert an agent and receive game credit for it. Renewing interest in SH4 after long absence. Thanks. "The 'Dog"

Sail to within a few NM of the drop site. Once there, at "All Stop" and on the surface a box pops up asking if you want to launch the agent in his boat.
You might have to dive and the surface again to get the box to "trigger", and if you are still moving (drifting) you get a horrendous sound of colliding with the rubber raft that sounds like you are sideswiping the Bismark. It does no damage to the sub, but it scared the hell outta me the first time it happened ![]()

"Sail to within a few NM of the drop site", ah, 3200 yds to be exact as I have discovered playing TMO.

Can't comment on TMO I was playing stock.
I also have no idea what the exact required proximity is. :-)

I don't believe in putting the agent at that much risk, so I'm usually within 600 yards of shore after carefully doing a long, slow recon of the shore line. Haven't been surprised yet, because the insertion point is usually fairly remote from shore installations. I only surface to let him off at the darkest point of the night. After he clears my boat, I go back to PD and slowly back away from him before turning to leave. Gives him time to clear my path. Works every time (so far!).

Here's a good one - mission: Deliver 23 tons of equipment. By rubber dinghy!
