Yes lee, I had a good laugh over Martins comment about the rowing, wasn't exactly the kind of help I was looking for though!!
![]() Not sure what I can do to show the problem with saving missions, ie losing the damage textures when restarting them. Here's a pic of my boat while finally heading away from the area, no external damage showing. ![]() On the other hand, I was totally surprised to see that the loss of one diesel engine showed up quite well on the external model! I have had plenty of damage inflicted on my boat before, even losing the whole thing, but never lost an engine before, so thought this was a nice detail in SH3. The starboard prop is not turning at all, really like that kind of detail, but would rather see it on someone elses boat,lol ![]() |

Nice Detail I have had that a few times in um well RiverFF testing
![]() but because no save was involved at anytime my boat always looked like it had been beaten with an ugly stick six or seven times too many. ![]() boy can I ever see the difference now between uber 1.3 and uber 2.0 it kinda leaps of the page at you after the bigger hull |

Ocean blues damage model deffinatly makes the boats look more damaged and when your pounding the allied ships with your guns wow ive seen some funky stuff will post some screen shots over the next few days. Also guys when your posting error for me to look at can you also post what ram and cpu and video card your using just to make sure it aint a graphic card error etc.

:rotfl: Uber Alert there has been an instance of uber leaving its guns and shells behind after uninstalling although not 100% certain it is beleved by me that it was caused by not removing mods installed after uber was when deactivating uber in jsgme , therefore it is recommended to all that all mods below uber in jsgme list should be deactivated at the same time or previous to uber and then re established in your game by activation again in jasgme afterwards. for those that like to play the pure game this kind of issue would be a problem. My whole thing about video games is that It came with a pause button for a reason. it works like this whenever my wife says "Honey Can You"? I faithfully hit pause right away without hesitation, because now that I do that faithfully and without hesitation she now goes to great lengths to not interrupt me unless its absolutely necessary. no whining no nagging no hassles. its a good arrangement. MM [edit] so In doing all those Auto Evasive Maneuvers tests this week and last it became apparent that uber was suffering some severe instability under high speed radical maneuvers, as a result I have totally increased ubers mass and displacement Up to the same level as the U.S, submarine argonaut but with ubers Dilithium powered engines. as a result uber is a steady gun platform at moderate speeds and has fair high speed stability but still rocks like a boat should in a hard corner she feels like she seems more sluggish slightly but I think its largely that as I didnt increase horsepower when I increased mass and displacement she doesnt accellerate as fast but still turns in about the same radius as before, to my mind its subliminal sluggishness more of a feel thing. For 2.0 series ubers Lee as the only person currently testing I will bag up the new boat for you sometime shortly its just that id like to take the time to try and get ubers auto evasive working a bit better yet and its tedious details and testing. Time for this weeks uber update for those who care.
Well uber 2.0 went out to testing this week but will be sometime before its finished, 2.0 is now as those who've been following along already know is now based on a typeIXD2 instead of the originals IXB hull. 2.0 now has Directors cut auto evasion maneuvers mod built into it. and what a huge difference it makes to the enjoyment of the experience. AEM is a little quirkey but if you master its quirks it is so worth the effort. now you can order your crew to zig zag while you fight the ship. a tremendous enhancement of uber, (although not really intended it was for video makers) but it works great. when I used to do manual driving and we would get in range of 2nd escort group in the included mission they would score 1 for 32 shells with my original evasion pattern prototype they would score 1 for 16 shells yesterday after I released it the day before I got to use it in an actual game of surface combat as opposed to testing and wow althought I wouldnt garauntee the result we sat in amazement yesterday with our hands off the wheel and watched while the autopilot as it were got up there result was as best we could count 1 hit for 64 shells from elite six elite blackswans from GWX an astounding result to say the least but whats more important is that it reduces the skippers workload down to enjoyable, a fantastic addition. 2.0 also has the following changes More speed (37.5 kts on glassy seas with no engine upgrades) more armour on the conning tower gun postions and a few armour tweaks for the rest of the sub to make twenty minutes in heavy surface combat survivable. Ships mass and displacement increased to 2500 tons surfaced for improved stability in high speed extreme maneuvers (she still rolls about 35 to 35 but this is an improvement over rolling 60 to 60 ) also this was partly resultant of simultaneous speed change so a balance had to be met she still rolls under high speed like she should and is steady at all other speeds upgrade power boost now 1.125 and 1.25 respectively (112.5% or 125% original speed rating) peridepth and schnorkel depth both now 12.5 m that I guess will conclude this weeks uberupdate for now. Thanks eddie nice to see my first customer still kicking in contributions.
I should have put this out two or three days ago and im sorry to all. however for those of you with uber 1.3 beta it is advised that you d/l Directors cut Auto evasive maneuvers from my FF as this will really do a lot to make it more fun and less work I drove handsfree half an hour in the surface combat mission and let my crew drive and shoot without input it works great if you master the few quirks that AEM has. totally worth it. |
