After intializing, the 1st message I get is sonar destroyed. No matter what I do the sonar on my sub is destroyed before I ever start the engines or start moving. I finished mission 33 & it will not let me start patrol 34 unless I want to do it with no sonar. As many times as I played this game this has never happened before. I have mods installed on my game but this has never happened before & this is the only problem that I have had that I never figured out a way to correct it.

Yep happens to me all the time especially when I upgrade my sub to a IXD2 then upgrade the sonar and radar it's garanteed that one will be destroyed before I move 1 meter

If I remember right, it is a stock bug. Just ignore it, the sonar should work.

Check around here my engines kept saying destroyed.

The sonar destroyed dates back to 1.4b patch and probably before that. It is definitly a stock issue. I remember from many posts that this cannot be resolved. Also the sonar may look destroyed, but it actually pings ang provides output (distances). In some rare cases it has been reported that the sonar is indeed destroyed, but I think this might have been due to modding. |
