Did you actually watch the interview and listen all the way to the end?

The dynamic campaign, reflecting the entire war will still be available and will offer the player the ability to affect the outcome of the war on different fronts.

If it turns out to be a flop I'm not going to touch it.

From the interviews and previews posted here and on front page, the impression I get is that the devs, in an effort to expand their audience, are trying to make this game all things to all people.

This approach works well in politics, where the aim is simply to get elected, any way, any how. People, in general, are stupid and gullible, and it would be quite amusing if it weren't so damning an indictment, to watch them buy into the promises and hype over and over again.

It always ends in disappointment.

Of course the goal of UBISoft and the devs is to sell the game, any way, any how.

So how is this likely to end...?

Personally I have a bad feeling that SH4 is the last sub sim we're likely see for some time, if not ever.

I wonder if the crew interactions are similar to "B-17 Flying Fortress: The Mighty 8th"?

LOL, surely your familiar with Aphex Twin Dan?
'Come to Daddy' is possibly one the most disturbing music vids ever made.
