Hi, I haven't posted here for a long time and thought I'd say hello and ask who's still using Sh3Gen, or if there's anthing that needs my attention.

The reason I have not released anything in a long time is of course weather, the world cup and my work. I am not playing Silent Hunter at the moment. But when it's cooler I hope to get back to improving this tool, which I'm still absolutely dedicated to.

There are some smaller fixes I have already done like typo corrections and better implementation of campaign layer selection, but as I said, release is on hold until it gets significantly cooler.

I am also considering a version for dotNET 2.0, maybe somebody is waiting for it.

Well ive been gone for awhile to, came back a week or so ago, and i still use your sh3 gen. Workx great for me and i love it. THankx !

i use it all the time, ("don't leave base without it") and it works perfectly.

Bump to using it all the time--although i fiddle with the intell and reliabilty sliders from patrol to patrol (simulating the reliability of b-dienst and the conders

Has anyone else used this with u-war ace campaign? it shows the locations of the german a.i subs (named U-80,etc) which iv'e been able to find when i search said grid--also on some of the "received enemy convoy contact reports" via the radio-i ckecked the sh3gen map and found my fellow A.I. subs sitting in the grid where the convoy report was placed on the map (pretty neat even if it is coincidence)

But, i have not been able to find the scripted battle units (i.e. bismark,hipper,so on) on the gen map during the month the operation is set for. maybe i am not generating it at the right time, any one else been able to see them on the map??

I have finaly got SH3GEN to work..................

Global you might want to make this a sticky...........................

I was trying to play Matrix games new Panzer commander and i was getting the same fialed run time errror or later i got a exe fialed etc.....

i then went onto the matrixgames site and read this i followed the first step rebooted and not only does my game work but SH3gen does now as well

AHHHHHH the Arial Font isssue.
Some players have experienced a crash related to a font problem caused by an older game.(crash for panzer commander or in my case just a black screeen on load up then back to deck top)This bug seemed to be cuased by plaers that have installed an old build of Korson Pocket and uiinstalled.

Leaving the Arial font incorrectly set on your PC ther are two ways to fix.

1.From the control panel,select fonts.Find "Arial" and delete it.Reboot your PC and it should be restored.

2.Optionally,after deleting the font,you can DL a copy of ARIAL.TTF from the net(or from a local copy of windows)With in the fonts panel on one of the taps above is the "install new fonts....."browse for the ARIAL>TTF file and install it.re-run the game and it shoulfd work..

I dont no if this will help but im gussing other sub guys may also like playing war games as well and some of those old ones did stuff up the fonts a little all i know is it was busted but noe it works after step one........

That is one of the most strangest things I have heard in a long time.

sh3gen is simply a terrific add-on for immersion, highly recommend it and tks much GE.
