Moin Kitzbuell,
I am not familiar with SH3 Commander. But OLC´s GUI mod alters the `commands_xx.cfg' and 'cameras.dat' for sure. So, running the commander files for OLC after FM_NI has been enabled is a NOGO item. This is something you should check. If OLC is indeed the cause for your troubles you certainly are not condemned to play without. You just have to ensure to enable OLC´s GUI first, FM_NI next and the FM_NI_Fix_for_OLC_GUI afterwards. Report back, if it does not work. I´m sure we´ll find a way. Regards, DD

Dunke DD,
I will do some fussing with some of the files following your suggestions (with a bit less brashness than the first time and more of a methodical clinical approach) as I layer the MODs files order of installation. I will get back to you with the eventual results (may take me a few days as r/l is currently interfering with my GWX Gold experience. Thanks for taking the time and effort to assist me. great mod!
quick question. I am just using GWX 3.0. I always liked the intregrated orders mod as it allowed you to raise the attack and obs periscopes with one click. I see that this mod conflicts with the intregrated orders. Is there a command for raise attack periscope or just the obsvervation (shift-O and ctrl-O). Thanks!! |

If you take the versions of those files in Integrated Orders and do the manual edits as indicated in the FMNI instructions (there are only about half a dozen of them, so it's not a big job), and then use those edited files in place of the ones already included with FMNI, you should have compability between this mod and Integrated Orders. ![]() |

I basically did the same thing and it went without a hitch. Not a big job and the end result, (i.e. blissful compatibility ![]()

I deactivated all my enabled MOD (s) and then enabled only the FM New Interior v 1 and the same results occurred. In writing between DD and myself, I began to wonder if, somehow, SHIII Commander may have been the culprit (though I didn't see how). I just tried to load SHIII without opening it via SHIII Commander and the same results occurred. Of course, I had just finished m third and extremely successful patrol when I downloaded and enabled OLC's MOD and FlakMonkey's interior MOD, so I am hoping this is not a career killer in order to get the interior MOD to work for me as described in the MOD's "readme" file. I am now thinking of loading a second full version of SHIII onto this hardrive (Geeewhiz I hope I have enough room ... ); updating it to vers. 1.4; using the StarForce-no disc fix; and try enabling just the interior MOD with JSGME without ever adding SHIII Commander or any other alteration to the original SHIII software and see what happens. If it does work as it is supposed to, I will then use this version of SHIII as the guinea pig to experiment with adding and combining other various MOD and testing for performance issues now and in the future instead of with my "active" game. I realize that I do have some lmitations using a notebook and its associated graphics card but this one is better than most and has always seemed to run SHIII with few, if any, graphics issues. Unfortunately, I was messing with MOD (s) a few years ago and drove myself so crazy trying to cope with all of the file changes I was making and then attempting to restore that I had to walk away from SHIII for almost a year in order to maintain some sense of sanity. Guten Tag DD:
Just noticed you replied. I have been on "jury duty" for the last several days and now wish I had brought my notebook and SHIII to occupy some of the downtime involved. Just a note: I just read in another section of this thread that JC Wolf is running SHIII Commander with the New Interior MOD on his hardware and is having no problems with either hardare or software. Having said that, I disabled all of my MOD (s) and then re-enabled only the FM_NewInterior v 1 MOD and the same issues took place. Only moments ago, I began the SHIII exe file going directly to the SHIII folder and execution file to open the software without using the SHIII Commander software link to open the actual SHIII exe file. I went back to the end of my last mission in the port of Wilhemshaven and, before leaving the dock for patrol, inspected the interior of my VIIB and I have similar results with a new twist. Now, all of my hatches are closed and "shift+h" does not open them. Now, unless I misunderstood the "readme" that came with the d/l MOD, I was under the impression that I did not have to manually over-write or add to any of the lines of my SHIII files (COMMAND.CFG files). I thought I only had to enable the listed files in the MOD according to the appropriate order and depending on which MODs I was also using and enabling the provided "fix" files for the appropriate MOD or MOD (s). I thought the listed line changes and additions in the included "readme" file was for those that wanted or needed to make the software changes manually for whatever reason (heavily MODded SHIII files was suggested). Was I wrong in this DD? I am beginning to despair that my only option will be to re-load another complete folder of SHIII; update it to version 1.4, run the StarForce no-disc fix, load GWX Thallium Edition and start using JSGME to enable the FM New Interior MOD and see what happens (Note: I will begin without including the addition of SHIII Commander until I prove that the New Interior and some of the other MOD (s) that are supposed to work with it do function as claimed they should). I have the "sinking" feeling I am going to lose my current career which has been especially successful during its first three patrols. Look forward to hearing back from you DD. Thank you. I'll try to be sure. Sorry about your dislike of your job. My advise is to retire as early as you can. I retired early and it was hard. AQ guys life is to take care of his mother and go to work every single day no matter what. Think about it. Then we get married and it starts all over again. It took me almost 6 months to get used to the idea that I can do what ever I want. No more, " yes sir " and " no sir ".

There's a setting in the sh3.sdl file that will adjust this. Use the S3D editor and navigate to:
SH3\data\Sound\Sh3.sdl Once there, (if memory serves correctly), I believe you're looking for the 'Submarine_diesel_exterior.wav' file. Simply lower volume as desired, save and presto - all done! ![]()
