I think you need to unpack 1 level further, to get to the correct folder.
I assume you use JSGME, to install the mod?

When unpacking the rar, 1st open the folder named "VIIC - Mrk2 ".
Then - inside that one - find the folder named "FUBARSVII58 mrk 2"....that's the folder you need to unpack into your SHIII/MODS-folder. Just unpack that entire FUBARSVII58 mrk 2-folder to that location.
You may get a warning about some thumbs-file, but you can ignore that.

You are right Paajtor:
When you unpack the RAR file, it creates a file like this (example only):
FUBARVIIU58MK2/FUBARVIIU58MK2/data......
It should be FUBARVII58MK2/data.....
So, before copying it to the MODS folder to enable it via JSGME you have to eliminate the exceeding folder. It works, trust me, I have it enabled and working like a charm.

Hi there!!

Salute to all subsimers of the world!!

I have few skins to show, and i´m courious what you think.

This skins are for Type 9c and Type 9d u-boats, they are reworked versions of skins originali maded by Fubar. Actualy this its more or less recolored mod of Fubar´s "IXc U-805" skin (one of the best skins for T9 boats).

With kindly permission of Fubar that this skins can be uploaded, I now presentate my type 9´s in grey and grey-masked color shematics.

This its Type 9c in grey version

Type 9c in masked sheme

This its Type 9D2 in masked version

NOTE: All type 9 versions have both color shematics, and only larger diference in sheme betwen 9c and 9d2 its in masking of conning tower.

I did not upload this files yet but i will soon when i got time (I have mess on my job and curently working about 14 hours on day so when i caught moment i will upload this if somebody want skins showed above)

Thanks very, very much CapZap, I did not expected such good reaction on my rework.

Thank you, and thanks to Fubar who give permission for upload.

Now i got something other to show, a skin for Type 7c and again it is rework of Fubar´s skin (VIIC U-552).
But in this case i did not ask Fubar for permisson yet, so i dont know will be in future update for this skin.

Inspiration of this skin its picture of VIIC/41 model and Castout´s request to Fubar for skining. The model its very good looking so i´m tried to produce this skin over Fubar´s 552.

This its my work for now, maybe it has too much blue in texture but i like´it.

This is it!
I made two versions of this skin, first "Main Model" or "Big Rust" its on pictures above , and second "Optional" are similar to first but diference is in cleaner lines (smaler rust state).

If Fubar let me know that i got permission i will upload this skins with Type9´s.

NOTE ON TYPE 9d2 in my first post- Lower (underwater) hull got same texture like
type 9c, so some texture parts on D2 got small errors.
All types of 9´s dont have small doors on sides of conning tower.

just a suggestion. I know you only took inspiration of my model not outright copy:

The current saddle tank tips(front and aft) color seem to be a bit off with the rest of the saddle tank color. Maybe I'm imagining things??

Actually the top wave breaker and the mid section wave breaker is not of the same color(like in Das boot.) with the hull but it's a slightly darker grey(german grey)
The deck is supposed to be grey but I like it as it is now more :hmm:

The wooden panel inside the bridge on the model is actually colored more like leather brown that is a darker brown.

The hand railings on the guns' deck are supposed to be german grey but as it is now the skin is already eye catching. I can't thank you enough. Pls Fubar give the fella your permission on this one. You would have my utmost gratitude

Yamato I noticed that you have a wonderful green colored Atlantic depths. Could you also be kind enough to send me/ host the EnvColors_Atl.dat file?
I tried using the mini tweaker I ended up losing the original file now I have a glowing green At;antic depths.....ssshhh very frustating..

Got my hands on a 1/72 scale Type VIIC/41 U-Boot by Revell of Germany. Beautiful model...and about 8 different paint schemes/ U-Boots. I'm very interested in U-307, it has a very unique camo on the conning tower. Anybody else have this model or color pictures of U-307? The tower has splotches/flecks in a great camo scheme.

Does Fubar still make skins? Does he even still check this forum out?

Hi there!!

First of all thanks CapZap for welcoming message, and now i got something for DL.

I´m uploaded one skin and more will follow in few days.

This skin is improved version of my classic Typ9c grey masked, actualy she its totally reworked in terms of white - black masking stripes and rusting state are added on all parts of 9c sharky.
My previos models are lacked of doors on conning tower, this is allso fixed.

Pictures below shows "Type9c-Grey Masked version 2" and its ready for DL.
