Hey, good to see you're still around.

I'll reiterate my point.:p

Could you take your lovely VIIC/41 skin from a page long since past and convert it to match that lovely VIIC/41 model recently made?

Here she is.

Maybe this has been asked before, but my skins don't appear on the sub when I load the game. I'm running SH3 1.4b GWX with SH3 Commander. Installed using Jonesoft mod installer. Any ideas? It's really bugging me!

Make sure they are enabled and make sure that you don't have an extra folder that was created during the extraction process.

Make sure the folder tree looks like this.....Fubar Skin > data > etc etc. NOT Fubar Skin > Fubar Skin > data > etc etc.

You were right, there was an extra folder created. All fixed and working fine now. Thanks for the help

Why not use them like that.

You start in a Type 2 - Have a Type 2 skin enabled in JSGME
You move to a Type 7 - Have a Type 7 skin enabled in JSGME
You move to a Type 9 - Have a Type 9 skin enabled in JSGME

You can do this before you even leave for your first patrol. Just pick your favourites and forget about them until you notice you got a nice new skin with your new boat.

The short of it is, all you have to remember to do is change & enable a new skin in JSGME after a patrol or when you feel like it.

You could also, if you use SH3Cmdr, set them to change on a certain date.

The simple rules regarding skins and other add-ons are:
1. ALWAYS enable them via JSGME. That way if you don't like them you can get rid of them easily.
2. Be in Port and Rollback SH3Cmd BEFORE enabling ANY mod.

As long as you have a mod enabled via JSGME it will be loaded every time you load SH3/GWX. There is nothing else you need to do except to relax and enjoy the game

on my computer JSGME wont eneble the mod's even when its installed properly.
so i just made a backup of the game and renamed it.
then i just pasted all mods (in data folders) in the original file.
now all mods work.

Then you obviously have either a problem or you are installing them wrong
However, what you are doing should not make any more problems for you

As long as your game is working fine you're OK. It would have been better though if you enable the mods via JSGME as that way you can get rid of them without messing up the installation.

this JSGME has to be intalled in the silent hunter folder right...
well thats were i installed it.
but anyway. if i still have that backup there cant go anything wrong.

the times before that i didnt made a backup. so the game was a bit messed up
it constantly crashed or just wouldnt load. i still have a laggy game but as long as it works im happy
