CAPTAIN, Do you REALLY know your boat?
Thanks for clicking-in this post. Now that I've got your attention, I wanted to ask how well you know your present command? What was the real Captain's name? How many War Patrols did your boat see? Where did she first slide down the ways? What was her Fate?
Here's a little gift I learned from Flying Long Haul in Flightsim: slow down the Accelerated Time and read the Aircrafts' (PMDG) manual. Next time you are crossing the Pacific, far from harm with lots of Ocean between point A and point B, why not slow down the accelerated time a few notches, do a perusal on Wikipedia or Google your boat. Read-up on the history and service she saw:
