Default Missions to big?????

This afternoon i spent about an hour designing a mission around the falkland islands that involved about 14 ships (2 task forces) 2 air bases, and 4 subs.
I saved the mission and then ran the mission and all i get now when i run the mission is the game returns to desktop
Have i included too many assets or is there another problem involved?
Ive created my own missions before and had no trouble at all.

When the taskforces are different sides they are probable launching massiv attacks.
That could be to much for your pc?

Have You created dynamic groups in dynamics locations? That makes the game crashes.

DW doesn't do well when you make a scenario too large. After a certain point, it starts to get into things that Harpoon does better.

It's best to think of DW in terms of smaller situations, involving just a few platforms. It's a tactical level simulator, so you don't want to do WWIII all at once. It doesn't do it well, and it also kind of misses the point of what makes DW exciting.

Break it down. Instead of thinking of the grand operational vision, look at the individual pieces and examine them in detail. Think about what really matters from the perspective of those in command of the individual ships. Analyze your scenario, and break it down into smaller vignettes. It might be only one task group, or even a portion of the task group versus a submarine, or maybe a wolfpack. Maybe it's a couple FFGs versus a few missile boats or an SSN patrolling a barrier. The whole Falklands going on at once is really more like a DW campaign.

Yea...like SeaQeen said...make it a campaign After one aspect of the mission, you jump to another area. For the Falklands Campaign, I might suggest a submarine hunting down a battle group heading to the islands, a group of SSK's trying to hit a anchored fleet at the islands, and lastly...a battle group trying to fend off an air attack.
