Hi all
I've noticed when I CD in NYGM 2.2 I level at 20m. Is this deliberate? On the one hand I'd applaud it, as training for CD had the boat going to 20m in 25s. Problem is when I want to go deeper I level before starting to dive. That's not entirely healthy if there's an escort coming from the fog at close range (had that happen to me recently - was so close the main guns were firing over my head - which was better than them hitting me!). Would really love it if you could select a depth THEN say CD. Incidentally, is there any real difference in dive times between CD and 'standard' other than the effect of going at flank i.e. if you order flank then set a depth, do you actually submerge any more quickly through CD command than by doing this? Still learning stuff and loving it - this is a question, not at all a criticism! Being able to CD to 20m is realistic and also useful when the depth is restricted, such as in many parts of North Sea.
