Ufff! I remember someone had a similar problem. I can't remember the way around (I believe that you need to send an email to UbiSoft so something like that). It is tricky!

Mine is on the DVD itself, which I suppose is the safest place to put it as long as you don't lose the DVD, in which case you couldn't play or reinstall it anyway.

IIRC - It will either screw it up or the repair will not run at all.

Most multi-installation users do the following...

1)Install SH3
2)Patch to 1.4
3)Copy Game folder to another location (SH3 1.4 backup)
4)install MOD of choice + copy to another location (i.e. GW Backup)
5)Play the version of your choice.

This way you will always have a clean copy of SH3 1.4b or GW to copy back in. No need to install from disc again.

As long as you change the name on your current folder from SilentHunterIII to something else the repair option is ok to use - thats what I use to add new installations

I believe that folder is located in My Documents off the Start button. Look for SHIII. I believe you will find it in there.

The first time you run SH3 the correct folder will be created in your docs folder.
