SH3 Commander: weird effects?

Good day gentlemen!

I've been using the GW mod for about 3 weeks, and yesterday I decided to give SH3 Commander a try. Download and installation, no problem. But I had a few adverse effects:

- When I load the game with SH3 Commander (which I understand is necessary), my video card AA is gone and I have to manually add it in the game (shift-pgup). I've never had that problem before.

- Map slowdown: Sometimes pretty major slowdowns in the map view.

- Features: I've started a new career in the med in late 41. In 3 days (after leaving the port area, in which there was plenty of traffic à la GW), no radio message, no contact on the map...

Anyone experienced something similar, or know if I am doing something wrong?

Hello

I haven't had any problem with SH3 Commander. Are you sure you haven't made any changes while you're at sea????

That's all I can think. I'm sure people with more experience will have more useful advice to offer.

:hmm: Ian-L, wich version of Sh3Commander are you using?

2.5 or 2.6?

I'm using the 2.6 version.

Played some more today. The contacts sightings on the map is back (got two), but still no radio message from GW mod in 3.5 days at sea. Seems kinda long.

For the video card, it may have to do with the fact that SH3 commander loads up the game. I'm still testing, I will let you guys know.

I reinstalled Grey Wolves and then reloaded a mission in progess. I'm gettin all sorts of errors now. Is that a no no ?? I need to uninstall SH3 & start again from scratch.

That's a BIG no no.

@ Ian_L SH3 doesn't change any of the things likely to be effected by the symptoms you describe. Nothing with AA for sure, traffic is a GW thing as are radio messages. Date related files would be grammophone files, ship skins (if installed) and the like. I've been using SH3 Commander for a long time and no such problems.
