I was running NYGM 2.0 and loving it. Two weeks ago my pc hung when i tried to run 2.2. It was my fault for not installing it right. Anyway, I tried to restore my SH3 directory from backup but my backup was corrupt. D'OH! So I unstalled everything, deleted the directories and carreers and reinstalled SH3 fresh, the patch and NYGM 2.0. Everything seems fine until my new career loads. The prgress bar stops half way and won't go any further even if I sit and wait a full 5 minutes. I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything more times than I can count and still nothing. The game runs without NYGM but it halts when I apply NYGM. I even re-downloaded NYGM 2.0. Does anyone have ANY idea what more I can try to get this game to run?????

Not sure if this'll help or not, but . . .
One thing I always do whenever I uninstall anything is run a decent registry cleaner after I first uninstall then reboot. You might be surprised at the crap uninstallation leaves behind. Secondly, after uninstallation check in the My Documents folder. There are files there as well and those probably also need removal. Hope this helps. Either way you have my sympathy and understanding. |

When a program leaves the party behind it is a path of destruction (and Depth Charges sometimes)

Albrecht Von Hesse,
Wicked sig images... You know how you see something without actually seeing it? I recognised NYGM, and then I looked, then I squinted and then I saw it! :rotfl: |

Have the same prob with GW. I believe that it's something that SH3 leaves behind, even after rollback.

After you uninstall SHIII, go into c:\Program Files\ubisoft\ and see if there is a SilentHunterIII folder left. You need to delete this too. If left it will cause a reinstall to go bad too.

Are you refering to NYGM TW 2.0 or the latest version 2.2. Installing NYGM 2.2 0. Roll Back SH3 Commander 1. SH3 2. SH3 Patch 1.4b 3. NYGM 2.2 - Stand Alone - or NYGM TW 2.0 & then NYGM TW 2.2 Update Version 4. From c:\program files\ubisoft\silenthunterIII\documentation\SH3 Commander Optional Updates copy all files into C:\Program Files\SH3 Commander\Cfg. 5. Delete from that same SH3 Commander\Cfg folder all the specifc date files ie, Randomised events_19*.cfg leaving only the one Randomized file you just copied. Hope this helps |
