X-Fire, or XFire, since the dash is so hard and time-consuming to type

, is a stand-alone tool that allows players to brag about their achievements, contact each others for games, and keep track of their gaming statistics (number of hours played, for example). I think it might be a good idea for X-Fire, sorry, Xfire, to support Silent Hunter 4.

The main reason is that I've seen so many here with "patrol signatures" with their u-boat number, flotilla I.D., number of patrols, medals earned, etc. Now, one of the primary feature of XFire is the signature picture. For Battlefield 2, for example, it shows medals and badges earned, number of kills, hours played, number of team victories, and so on. For Silent Hunter IV, it could show things like patrols undertaken with current career, sinkings in current career, medals for current careers, and so on.

Since there are already people putting patrol info into their signatures, I think this could be swell. It'd also allow for us to advertise the game on other web sites, by putting the banner in our signatures.
