I noticed the GW mod cleverly hides the identity of ships (as all targets are black) but once you identify an enemy target the only way to know what type is by using the ship identification manual BUT the manual does not tell you what type of ship it is
anyone know a way around that ?

IIRC the map icon gives a class (e.g. merchant (until ID'd, that is)), putting the periscope crosshairs over it gives a type (e.g. for a merchant it could be cargo, tanker) and the ID Manual gives the ship (e.g. for a merchant it could be small cargo, large merchant, tramp steamer etc.)? Ahh, actualy the map icon only gives a class when it's intelligence led (i.e. appears on your map without you spotting it). Ah, well, I'm still confused! red. ![]() |

Basically a generic contact. It is nice just to have that. Imagine in the real thing when they did not have the 'wonder indentifier'. The capitans had to get up close to just to identify the nationality!
